Camp America experience!

I haven't posted on here for a while so I wanted to share with you a short recap of my Summer in the USA.

In June, I set off to Pennsylvania, USA to work as a Camp Counselor for the summer. I spent the summer looking after the most amazing group of 7-year-old girls you could meet and made friends from all around the world whom I know will be friends for life. My expectations for going away were already high due to watching so many Youtube video experiences as well as a few Tik Toks' too. Still, Camp surprised me in so many amazing ways, showing me qualities about myself I never knew I had, and developing parts of myself that contributed to the most incredible experience. At Camp I was what is referred to as a 'Bunk Specialist', meaning you stay with your campers during the activity day and help out at various activities along the way. This position made 'work' feel like you were a camper yourself at times.

During the summer, I took on extra roles including becoming a tutor for English and Maths for one of the campers, co-coached Netball, became resident 'soccer-mom' for the Grade 4 Junior Girls team, and was un-officially appointed head of make-up for the campus productions of 'Honk', 'Willy Wonka', 'Matilda', and 'The Lion King.'

Working at an American summer camp was one of the best decisions I have ever made, I met the most amazing people from around the world, the best group of friends and made incredible memories I will never forget.
